Veteran Crime Journalist Named Media Relations Division Director


Prince George’s County Police Chief Hank Stawinski is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Donelan as the new Director of the department’s Media Relations Division.

Ms. Donelan is an Emmy award winning and well respected journalist with nearly two decades of experience. Most recently, she was the investigative crime reporter for ABC 7 in Washington DC. During her extensive career, she has also worked in Baton Rouge, Detroit and also as a national correspondent for CBS Newspath.

“We are so proud to have Jennifer join the Prince George’s County Police Department. We know under her leadership, the Media Relations Division will continue to communicate with our community and members of the media in a transparent manner. Keeping an open line of communication with the residents we serve is our unwavering commitment,” said Chief Stawinski.

“I am so excited to be working for and with the residents of Prince George's County! I already feel like family. And to the men and women of the Prince George's County Police Department, one of the most progressive law enforcement agencies in the nation, it is my truest honor to work by your side," said Donelan. 


Ms. Donelan grew up in Fairfax County and graduated from the University of Virginia.
