Shooting Victim Dies of Injuries

Detectives with our Homicide Unit are now leading the investigation into a shooting that occurred Sunday in Landover Hills. The victim is 24-year-old Marquis Mason of Landover Hills. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime.

On April 12^th, at approximately 6:05 pm, patrol officers were called to the 3900 block of Warner Avenue for a report of a shooting. Officers discovered Mason outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment. He died of his injuries on April 13^th.

Detectives are actively working to identify a suspect(s) and a motive.

Víctima de Tiroteo Muere de Sus Heridas

Detectives de nuestra Unidad de Homicidios ahora investigan un tiroteo el domingo en Landover Hills. La víctima fue identificada como Marquis Mason, de 24 años de edad y vecino de Landover Hills. De manera preliminar, los detectives entienden que no se trata de un crimen al azar.

El 12 de abril, a eso de las 6:05 de la tarde, nuestros oficiales acudieron a la cuadra 3900 de Warner Avenue tras recibir información sobre un tiroteo. Al llegar a la escena, los oficiales hallaron a Mason afuera con múltiples heridas de bala. A éste de inmediato le trasladaron a un hospital para recibir tratamiento. Éste murió de sus heridas el 13 de abril.

Los detectives continúan investigando para establecer el motivo del asesinato e identificar un sospechoso(s).
