PGPD Investigating Fatal Collision Involving ATV

5/20/25 UPDATE:  The deceased rider has been identified as 35-year-old Jose Arias Castro of Fairfax, Va.

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision involving an ATV that occurred on Saturday afternoon. The deceased rider’s name will be released once his family is located and notified.

 

On May 17, 2025, at approximately 6:20 pm, officers responded to a collision at the intersection of Dyson Road and Missouri Avenue in Brandywine. The ATV rider and his passenger were located suffering critical injuries. The rider was pronounced deceased a short time later at a hospital. The passenger, an adult female, remains hospitalized in serious condition.

The preliminary investigation revealed the ATV collided with the side of a pickup truck and trailer at the intersection. The pickup truck driver and passengers were not injured.

PGPD Investiga Colisión Fatal Involucrando Vehículo Todoterreno

La Unidad de Análisis y Reconstrucción de Colisiones del Departamento de Policía del Condado Prince George investiga una colisión fatal con un vehículo todoterreno ocurrida el sábado por la tarde. El nombre del conductor fallecido se dará a conocer una vez que se localice y notifique a su familia.

El 17 de mayo de 2025, aproximadamente a las 6:20 p. m., oficiales acudieron a un accidente en la intersección de Dyson Road y Missouri Avenue en Brandywine. El conductor del vehículo todoterreno y su pasajero fueron localizados con lesiones graves. El conductor fue declarado fallecido poco después en un hospital.
