Suspect in Custody in Connection With Fatal Shooting in the City of Seat Pleasant

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit charged a suspect in a fatal shooting in the city of Seat Pleasant. The suspect is 37-year-old Ray Eugene Williams of Seat Pleasant. He’s charged with fatally shooting 51-year-old Timothy Furr of Baltimore.

 

On May 16, 2025, shortly after 9:30 am, the PGPD was notified of a fatal shooting in the 6400 block of Greig Street in the city of Seat Pleasant. The suspect in the shooting was seen entering his apartment building on Greig Street. A barricade was called. The PGPD’s Emergency Services Team responded and was able to take the suspect into custody without incident.

 

The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect shot the victim during an argument. The suspect and victim were known to each other.

 

Williams is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges. He’s in custody of the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.

 

The Prince George’s County Police Department investigates all homicides in the city of Seat Pleasant.
